They feel overwhelmed when faced with stresses concerning about school and college, trouble of friends and also career confusion situations. Those who have absentee parents are exposed to more unfavorable states of life.

The issues that teenagers face today vary but its still can be handled if parents or guardians can understand the symptoms of their problems. Parents should approach their children. Many teens feel misunderstood. It is vital for parents to understand them. When the teens face self-esteem and body image problems, they can become frustrated, and affected in eating disorders. Usually, they start to feeling stress when they are exposed to peer-pressure such as competition at school, or child abuse at home. In this condition, they could not think positively even to make the decision and some may be will quarelling. Many teens resort to crimes once they feel they cannot get any help or support. Thus, they may run away from home, play computer games, and start chatting online with strangers. Their study will be ignored and become brutal. An addition, play computer games and online chatting can result in addiction.

Self-Esteem and Body Image

Teen feels low
Body image is really important especially for women. Hormonal changes could effects on the growth and mood of the teens. When they do not like something in themselves, they have self-esteem and body image problems. Some teenagers feel too fat, too skinny, too tall and too short. This feeling leads them to spend time wishing they were not too skinny, too short, their hair was not too curly or vice versa.

The problem with this feeling, its affects their self-imageIts make teenagers to compare themselves with people around them and when they find they do not match their standards, they feel low. They also compare themselves with those seen on TV, in movies, and in the magazines. To develop their positive self-esteem, it is affected by family life and parental criticism. Teenagers who get negative comments about their image appearances and the way they talk also resulting on poor self-esteem.

Depression

Depressed Teen
Depression also one of the worst problems that some teenagers suffer from and it can lead to more problems in the future. Especially as a student, depression may arise from poor self-esteem and work stress.

The way to overcome depression is parents should talk to the teens, listen to their child, comfort them  and accept their child for who they are. It is important that teens feel validated in their feelings and thoughts because what they are going through is a real part of their lives. Parents and guardians should not judge or criticise their feelings or thoughts. They should tell their child how important it is to have high self-esteem and be comfortable in their body.

There have more depression symptoms. Changes in sleep patterns, eating habits, declined interest in normal and healthy activities, dropping grades in school and college, and preferred isolation are all signs of depression. If teenagers begin talking about their depression, they should be allowed to express their feelings, and parents should understand their feelings by listening to them without interrupting the conversation. It is the way to make them feel comfortable with parents and not searching other person or friends to shared. Mostly, teenagers will shared their problems with friends because they feel that parents does not validated with their feelings and thought. Usually, parents will scold them, not accepted them for who they are then it will lead them to more social problems outside.

The impact for those who have IAD conditions, they may experience distress,  obsessive thoughts, tremors, and other mental and physical problems. Cyber addiction impairs the quality of their lives.               TABOO

1)SELF-FLAGELLATION
Selg-flagellation is a ritual brought out by Syiah followers. This ritual is held every year every holy Month of Muharram in order to remember their leader named Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad. The men will whip their bodies with blades attached to chain. However, they do not feel any pain eventhough there are so much blood running out of their bodies.

2) DANCING WITH THE DEAD.

Famadihana, meaning “The Turning of the Bones,” is a traditional festival which takes place in Madagascar. The participants believe that the faster the body decomposes, the faster the spirit reaches the afterlife. They thereforedig up their loved ones, dance with their corpses to live music around the tomb, and then rebury them. This bizarre ritual is carried out every two to seven years.

3)SACRIFICATION

A tribe in Papua New Guinea called Kaningara practices a bloody body-modification ritual that is intended to strengthen the spiritual connection between them and their environment.
One of these ritual ceremonies is carried out in Haus Tambaran, or “The Spirit House.” The adolescents live in seclusion in Haus Tambaran for two months. After this period of isolation, they prepare for an initiation ceremony which recognizes their transition to manhood. An expert cutter marks their bodieswith sharp pieces of bamboo. The resulting patterns resemble the skin of a crocodile; this is based on the notion that crocodiles are the creators of humans. The marks symbolize the tooth marks left by the spirit of the crocodile as it ate the young boy’s body and expelled him as a grown man.

4)IMPALING
The annual Vegetarian Festival in Phuket, Thailand, is host to a most extreme ritual. This intensely masochistic event requires the participants to push spears, knives, swords, hooks, and even guns through their cheeks. It is believed that gods enter their bodies during the ritual, protecting them from evil and bringing good luck to the community.

5)OBJECT SEXUALITY

Object sexuality or objectum sexuality, in German Objektophilie (OS), is a pronounced emotional and often romantic desire towards developing significant relationships with particular inanimate objects. Those individuals with this expressed preference may feel strong feelings of attraction, love, and commitment to certain items or structures of their fixation. For some, sexual or even close emotional relationships with humans are incomprehensible. They believe that objects have souls, intelligence, and feelings, and are able to communicate.
